The Word of God has much to say about “mountains”–Mount Sinai, Mount Moriah, the Mount of Olives, and Mount Zion, among others. But, a closer study reveals Mount Zion holding a special place in the heart of God. Sadly, I think too many believers spend a greater part of their lives at Mount Moriah, which is known as a place of offerings and sacrifices.
The writer of Hebrews declares that “you have come unto Mt. Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…” (See Hebrews 12:22). Mount Zion is a place of deliverance, freedom, worship, and joy and gladness in the presence of the Lord!
In this message, “Return to Zion,” we will search the Scriptures to discover the blessing of life on Mount Zion, the City of our King.
